The ol’ work area. Loaded with caffeine.

Introduction

Hey, y’all. Welcome to the very first subscriber-only newsletter. Thanks for being here. I will do my best to bring you engaging content and fresh ideas.

This week, the future is on my mind quite a bit. This past weekend, I celebrated another run around the sun. I’m coming to grips with being more than halfway done with my ride on this planet (statistically speaking) and often wonder what mark I’ll leave for the future. Perhaps you do the same.

It took me a long time to enter the education space, and I’ve certainly found a home. However, I still wonder - perhaps worry is a better word - if I’m doing all I can to make an impact and help shape a better future for students. Sometimes I have evidence of that impact, but more often than not, I don’t. So, I keep looking to the future and hope that somewhere along the grand timeline of the universe, something I’ve done will help a teacher or students make a great choice for their lives.

This school year, I launched a fellowship for teachers that, I hope, will take my schools into that future. If not totally into it, perhaps we will get on the path. This week, I’ll share with you some details of the work we’ve been doing and where we’re headed for the rest of this year.
